The incident occurred about 10 am. According to railway officials, two wheels of Varanasi-LTT Mumbai Kamayani Express (11072) derailed near Bina railway station.

Speed of the train was slow as train was approaching towards the outer signal of the Bina railway station and pilot managed to stop the train. On getting information, railway engineering team from Bina section rushed to the spot and brought back the engine on track.

The train, which was already running about four hours late, was stranded for about two hours, disrupting the traffic on the route. It was at about 12.10 pm when the train departed from Bina railway station. The reason of the derailment is unknown.

"The investigation into the incident is going on. The train has departed and no one was hurt in the incident," said KK Dubey, public relation officer (PRO), Bhopal rail division.
