Fee of the girl student, whose father died of cardiac arrest just after meeting the Laxmi Narain College of Technology management, has been waived.
The father of the girl came for an appointed meeting with the institute management on a harassment complaint filed by his daughter. After the meeting, he complained of chest pain, and was rushed to hospital where he died.
The next day, on Saturday, as the word of his death spread on the campus, the students created ruckus demanding action against the culprit students who harassed the girl.
Earlier, after the complaint was lodged by the girl student, parent of the erring boys were called by the college management. The parents and the boys had apologised for the incident. The girl’s parents came there a day later.
LNCT chief managing director Suresh Chouksey said the parents of the girl were satisfied with action taken by the college and did not want to aggravate the matter. However, LNCT management had waived off the fee of the girl while disciplinary action is in proceeding against the boy. The Proctorial Committee has suspended the boy and would take necessary action, said Chouksey.
He added that the case deserves no merit to be handed over to police, moreover, wish of girl's parents also did not favoured such move.
