Bhopal: Two held for trying to sell fake gold biscuits

Two people, who were allegedly trying to sell fake gold biscuits to the residents of Harrakheda village in Gunga police station area, were caught by the villagers and later handed over to the police.

Two persons, who were allegedly trying to sell fake gold biscuits to the residents of Harrakheda village in Gunga police station area, were caught by the villagers on Sunday evening. They were later handed over to the police. Three other accomplice of the fraudsters managed to escape, police said.

The police have registered a case against five persons following the complaint of the villagers. In the complaint, the locals claimed that two months ago two persons of Hinotia village were duped by the same fraudsters.

On Sunday, when the group of five fraudsters reached the village, the alerted villagers nabbed them. However, three of them managed to flee. The two were identified as Nimma Gurjar and Shivram. The nabbed accused are resident of Berasia area. Two fake gold biscuits were recovered from their possession. The police have filed a fraud case.
