National emblem (four lions) appearing on a website launched by 'Tribal Forum of India' to campaign for the Presidential election candidate PA Sangma disappeared within moments of questions being asked by journalists to Sangma.

"I think since I happen to be an MLA it was posted on the website. But after my nomination for the Presidential election it should have been removed", said Sangma to journalists in reply.

"Sangma could have used the national emblem had been an MP. As an MLA he was not entitled to use the national emblem. Even otherwise, it can never be used for campaigning in Presidential election", said Ravi Atrolia, president of Tiranga Abhiyan in Madhya Pradesh.

Atrolia said since the website was launched by a private forum it should have sought permission from the authorities concerned for use of the emblem on its website.
