However, the 42-year-old has slammed the reports, calling them completely untrue.

"To set the record straight... all is superb in paradise. It (news of their separation) is not true. You believe all that c**p? I just feel bad when people put out things [that are not true]. I was doing a comedy film, but I did not know that comedy was happening with my life,” says John Abraham.

The actor says that he doesn’t like the fact that his silence is often misinterpreted. “I am always silent, and because I am quiet...the silence is often mistaken for my weakness,” he says.

The actor adds that he doesn’t feel the need to keep explaining himself because he believes in a more dignified way of dealing with things. “I keep quiet, but unfortunately, I also see a lot of negative press around me. That is very discouraging,” he says, adding, “I feel I don’t deserve it, and no one in my family deserves it. Just because no one speaks up, it doesn’t mean you can go out and say anything you want.”
