Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan, who was admitted to the Lilavati Hospital on Friday evening for a routine check-up and hounded by the media on his way back, was spotted hiding his face with a knit hat as he left the hospital. Explaining the reason behind it, Big B has penned down a poem and posted the original and a translated version on his blog.

In the poem, Bachchan says he understands that the photographers need his pictures to continue their work and it is just part of their profession. However, he adds that the flashes may act hazardous at times, which is why he decided to protect his eyes with a hat.

“Yes , your ‘excellencies’ I do go to hospitals, this practice have I kept alive from birth. Was not this the place where they heard my first cry at birth? This was the place where was welcomed my existence of life, Amitabh writes in the translated version.
