Amyra Dastur surprises family in London, joins them for a vacation

Bollywood actor Amyra Dastur, busy with back-to-back shoots, went to London to finally have a family vacation after almost four years. She just showed up at their hotel — and they were over the moon!

Bollywood actor Amyra Dastur has been shooting back to back for her upcoming projects in different parts of India. Due to this, the actor has been unable to spend quality time with her family, though they live quite close to her professional base, Mumbai. However, very recently, she managed to take some time out of her schedule and surprise her family in London, where the rest of them were holidaying.

Amyra’s brother works as a chef in London and her parents had travelled from Mumbai to meet him. The family missed Amyra on this trip — they hadn’t vacationed together after 2014 — so the actor decided to give them a thrilling surprise.

Though she has been shooting non-stop for Mental Hai Kya, Prassthanam, and The Trip Season 2, Amyra took five days off and flew to London — and she just showed up at her parents’ hotel.

“Mom and dad were so happily surprised when I showed up at their hotel in London. My brother was over the moon. He took us to the restaurant he worked at, and [also] showed us parts of London that we didn’t even know existed,” the actor says happily, having just returned from London.

Recalling the family time she has missed, she says, “I haven’t seen my brother in over a year. And even though my parents stay half-an-hour away from me in Mumbai, my shoot schedule wouldn’t allow me to meet them even once in the past three months. I was really hoping for a small break, and I’ll take what I can get at this point. In this industry, they’re the people who keep me sane, and I’ll give them whatever free time I get, whenever I get it.”
