Anurag Basu's next to be shot in Kenya

After having shot for his next in Thailand and South Africa, director-producer Anurag Basu will be filming the next schedule in Morocco and Kenya.

It looks like shooting at offbeat locations is fast becoming the norm for Bollywood film-makers. Like director Kabir Khan, who filmed his next at locations in Syria, Israel and Lebanon, apparently, film-maker Anurag Basu has also decided to shoot certain parts of his upcoming film, which stars actors Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif, in similar locales.

An insider says, “Anurag has just finished the movie’s shoot in Thailand and South Africa. The next schedule of the film will begin next month, and the locations that have been locked in on are Morocco and Kenya. Anurag and the film’s makers were always clear that the film would be shot in exotic places.”

The production, which is the second film that Ranbir and Anurag will be working on, after Barfi! (2012), is also being produced by the duo. Moreover, Katrina will be seen on the big screen with her beau after Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahaani (2009) and Raajneeti (2010).

While Anurag couldn’t be reached for a comment, the film’s spokesperson confirmed the news, and said, “The next schedule of the movie will commence in September, and the locations have been finalised.”
