Videos and pictures from the celebration were posted on Twitter and Instagram by Mahira’s friends and are now being shared all over social media by her fans. In the video, she can be seen dressed casually in a white top with friends singing the birthday song all around her in her cosy little home in Karachi, Pakistan. Her son, Azlaan, is seen clinging to her as she cuts a delicious looking cake and tells him to come by her side and help her blow out the candles.

Mahira is a single mother to six-year-old Azlaan with her ex-husband Ali Askari. The couple married in 2007 and got divorced in 2015.

The actor is best known for playing Khirad opposite Fawad Khan in hit Pakistani daily soap Humsafar. She made her Bollywood debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Raees earlier this year.

She was recently on tabloid covers when her paparazzi shots with actor Ranbir Kapoor outside a New York hotel went viral. She was criticised for her choice of clothes and for smoking cigarettes in the photos. However, several of her fans came to her defence against the trolls.
