Cannes 2016: Mallika Sherawat’s stunning yet safe red carpet appearance

Cannes regular Mallika Sherawat was the first Bollywood actor to walk the red carpet at the festival’s opening night on Wednesday. While Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor and Amy Jackson would make red carpet appearances in the days to come, Mallika was there to promote her film Time Raiders.

The actor was wearing a Gorges Hobeika gown and a diamond neckpiece from Mellerio. She took to Twitter to share the details and snapshots of her preparation for the big night.

Mallika, who famously posed with a snake while promoting Hiss at the festival, kept her appearance safe this time. While her gown was stunning, it was hardly keeping in with the image of the bold actor.

She gave us a sneak peek into how a celeb prepares for the red carpet.
