I’ve left Hollywood for Bollywood: Lauren Gottileb

The American actor-dancer says she has fallen for Bollywood and wants to explore her opportunities here

A versatile dancer, and now an actor, Lauren Gottlieb says she is happy to leave Hollywood for Bollywood.

"I was working in Hollywood, but after coming and working for Remo’s (Remo D’Souza) ABCD: Any Body Can Dance, I have fallen for the place and don’t want to leave just yet," she says. "My family, friends and agent often ask me to come back, but I don’t want to miss out on opportunities here. I have actually left Hollywood for Bollywood," she declares.

Lauren, who made her foray into Bollywood this year with the dance-based film, says she’ll be equally happy to work in movies that don’t have dance at all. "I’m happy to experiment and explore my acting potential, but I feel my fans connect with me though my dance. So, I feel I should explore dancing further," says Lauren, who recently participated in an Indian dance reality show.

The 25-year-old says fashion is now a big deal in the entertainment industry, and that she likes dressing up. "I like wearing all kinds of clothes. I am a casual person, so jeans and tees are good, but I like dressing up on special occasions. It’s fun,” says Lauren, who is the new brand ambassador for fashion label American Swan. Talking about her upcoming projects, she says, “I am reading a few interesting movie scripts, but nothing is final as of yet."

Lauren first shot into limelight after her stint in the American dance reality show, So You Think You Can Dance.
