Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan, who is riding high on the back to back success of Hindi Medium and Qarib Qarib Singlle, is all set to start work on a sequel to Saket Chaudhary’s Hindi Medium. The film is likely to go on floors in August.

Irrfan Khan played a Delhi-based businessman in Hindi Medium who wants to get his daughter admitted to an English-medium school.

Irrfan will reprise his role of Delhi-based businessman Raj Batra who aspires to give his daughter the best education. Director Saket, however, will not helm the new project. While Sabar Qamar starred opposite Irrfan in the 2017 film, the female lead and director of the sequel are yet to be finalised.

A source close to the actor said, “The story flash-forwards by a decade, so five-year-old Pia will be in her teens now, around 15-16 years. The story will be a fresh take on the Indian educational system with little reference to the original.”

Dinesh Vijan, who produced the film with Bhushan Kumar, has recently inked a multiple project film deal with him and will once again produce the film with the T-Series.
