Irrfan Khan shares note on his road to recovery, says ‘taking baby steps to merge my healing with work’

In a long emotional note, Irrfan Khan has thanked the media for respecting his space and all the love that came his way as he recuperated from his illness over past one year.

Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan, who returned from London after undergoing treatment for neuroendocrine tumour in March, has once again thanked fans and the media for all the love, prayers and wishes that came his way in the last one year. Irrfan went to London in 2018 after being diagnosed and was out of the public eye for a long time.

Irrfan Khan is currently shooting Angrezi Medium in Rajasthan.

In a long note issued to the media, Irrfan talked about his road to recovery, fighting the fatigue and said, “With Love, to all my friends in the media! Last few months have been on a road to recovery a period to heal to fight the fatigue and face the reel and real world. I am aware of your concern and request to talk to you, share my journey, but I am fathoming it myself inhaling and internalising, taking baby steps to merge my healing with work and trying to experiment the amalgamation of both.”

Irrfan also mentioned how media respected his journey and gave him the time to heal: “I am deeply touched by your wishes, your prayers and it means a lot for me and my family. I truly respect the way you respected my journey giving me time and space to heal. Thank you for your patience and the warmth and the love all through this overwhelming journey.”

“I feel an urge to share with you something. I live my life in widening rings which spread over earth and sky. I may not ever complete the last one, but that is what I will try. I circle around God’s primordial tower, and I circle ten thousand years long; And I still don’t know if I’m a falcon, a storm, or an unfinished song’ - Rilke,” the actor signed off the note.

Irrfan is currently shooting the sequel to his 2016 hit film, Hindi Medium, Titled Angrezi Medium, the film also stars Radhika Madan, Kareena Kapoor and Deepak Dobriyal.Irrfan has been sharing pictures from their shoot in Rajasthan.
