Kunal Kemmu began his career as a child actor with films such as Sir (1993) and Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke (1993). After Dushman (1998), he returned to Bollywood with a lead role in the film Kalyug (2005) and has now been a part of the industry for the last 12 years. Kunal says that his parameters of choosing a film have not changed much over the years. However, he takes several things into consideration before taking on a role.

“The most important thing about every film is the script. So initially, I wouldn’t really care for anything apart from that. But I have learnt that besides the script, director and technicians, it’s very important to make sure that there is an able production house and producer, who can ensure a competent promotion and release,” says Kunal, who was seen in Go Goa Gone (2013) and Bhaag Johnny (2015).

However, the 34-year-old adds that he is never quick to judge a film that is offered to him. “I love films and have always read and heard scripts with an open mind, and let my instincts guide me,” says Kunal, who is married to actor Soha Ali Khan. Kunal is busy with multiple projects including producing a film with Soha. “Besides Golmaal Again that will release around Diwali this year, there is a sequel to Go Goa Gone, and another project that will be announced later this year. Soha and I, are also co-producing a biopic on the iconic criminal lawyer Mr Ram Jethmalani,” says Kunal.
