64th National Film Awards: Akshay Kumar accepts award for Rustom, Sonam for Neerja
Akshay Kumar was felicitated with the Best Actor award while Sonam Kapoor’s Neerja got the Best Hindi Film award by President Pranab Mukherjee.
President Pranab Mukherjee congratulated and honoured the winners of the 64th National Film Awards on Wednesday. Akshay Kumar was given the Best Actor award for Rustom while Surabhi Jyothi was given the Best Actress Award for Malayalam film Minnaminungu (The Firefly).

Marathi film Kasaav was given the Best Feature Film Award while Rajesh Mapuskar won the Best Director Award for Ventilator.
Telugu film Sathamanam Bhavathi was adjudged the Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.
The six industries of the south -- Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Tulu and Konkani -- bagged a total of 18 awards, while movies from Assam, Bengal, Maharashtra and Manipur won in different categories.
