Mahesh Bhatt is back with a new hard-hitting film. Reportedly, the director's next film is inspired by the gruesome Nithari killings.
The filmmaker clarifies that the film is a sequel to Murder, which starred Mallika Sherawat and Emraan Hashmi. Mahesh Bhatt told Mumbai Mirror, "This film is the next one in the Murder series like how we did the Raaz series. The Nithari killings sparked off an idea that we should make a film about monsters that live like normal people and are a great danger to others."
On being asked whether he had met the accused Moninder Singh Pandher and Surinder Koli, the filmmaker revealed that, "I am taking the help of some of my journalist friends to work on this film."Producer Mukesh Bhatt says, "It's a crime thriller entirely shot in Goa. Mahesh has done thorough research on the case and made frequent trips to North India to meet the families of the victims and the accused."
The Nithari murders received much attention from the media due to the horrific nature of the killings. After police investigation the accused, Moninder Singh Pandher and Surinder Koli, were given death sentence though later Pandher was aquitted.
The film will be directed by Mohit Suri.
