Farah Khan had put her Bollywood clout to good use for her debut directorial, Om Shanti Om (2007). In a special song, she had roped in nearly all of her friends from the industry — from Dharmendra and Rekha to Salman Khan and Rani Mukerji — to shake a leg with lead actor Shah Rukh Khan. Malaika Arora Khan had also appeared with her husband Arbaaz Khan in the number Deewangi Deewangi and had a blink-and-miss act in another scene.

Now, Farah has got Malaika on board for a cameo in her next film, Happy New Year. “Back then, Malaika played Mohabbat Man’s girlfriend (in the scene). This time too, she will be seen in a sexy avatar and will be the actress of the film Sajid (Khan, who is also making an appearance in the movie and will be seen playing himself) is directing,” says Farah. Malaika will be sharing screen space with SRK and Sonu Sood.

Ask Farah why she roped in Malaika and not anyone else, and she says, “Malaika is a very dear friend, and we share a comfortable relationship. I believe that all the work we’ve done together in the past has been appreciated. She’s hot and a great dancer. And I can always just pick up the phone and ask her to do something for me, and vice versa.”

“All Farah has told me about my role is that I’ve got to look glamorous and there will be a lot of fun and action involved in it,” says Malaika.

Farah will shoot the sequence with Malaika over two days at the end of the month.
