Fiilmmaker Vikramaditya Motwane is reportedly spending Rs.50 crore to get the old world look right in his next project, a heist caper set in the 1950s. Apart from hiring vintage cars, the ‘Udaan’ director has set aside Rs.5 crore just to get actor Ranveer Singh’s look right in the film. “The entire ethos of the 1950s is being recreated. When Motwane did Udaan, he went to Jamshedpur to get the flavour of the 1970s right. But this time the sights, sounds and flavours of the 50s have to be recreated in a studio. The cars and the clothes alone would cost around Rs.25 crore,” says a source close to the project.
