While the theme of the conference is India – The Next Frontier, Ritesh has been invited to be a part of the panel that will talk about the business of entertainment. Apparently, Harvard officials felt that since the co-founder of Excel Entertainment has been part of two acclaimed Bollywood films in the recent past, he would make for the perfect speaker at the event.

“Everyone at the production house is excited. Ritesh is already planning out details of his visit. The event is being jointly organised by Harvard Business School and the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. Ritesh has discussed this with Farhan Akhtar (co-founder of Excel Entertainment) too. They are the only film company to be invited from India,” reveals an insider from the production company, which is currently working on the Aamir Khan-Kareena Kapoor starrer Talaash.

Interestingly, Ritesh and Farhan are yet to zero in on the film they will showcase and talk about at the conference. “Everyone is keen on Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara since it’s our most-recent hit, but everyone has their favourites,” says an insider from the production house.

When contacted, Ritesh sounded excited. He says, “It’s a huge honour for all of us at Excel Entertainment. Harvard is celebrating India this year and the fact that they want us to represent our country is a big thing for us. We haven’t planned what to showcase at the conference from our repertoire as yet, but that decision will be finalised very soon.”

The theme of the event where Ritesh is expected to speak is – The New Age of Entertainment.
