It is not every day that Bollywood celebrates the spirit of sportsmanship on celluloid. And when it did recently — with Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, a biopic on one of India’s illustrious sprinters, Milkha Singh — it was only natural that it got support from another revered sportsperson, PT Usha.

A source reveals, “PT Usha saw the movie with her entire family at the first days first show in Chennai. All the hype around the movie had got her curious. Being an athlete herself, she could closely relate to the film. At the end of the movie, she was moved to tears. She felt that it was inspirational and was filmed keeping it as close to reality as possible .” When contacted, the official spokesperson of the film confirmed the news, saying, “All of them were extremely moved by the film and Farhan Akhtar’s performance.”
