Ram-leela crosses halfway mark in Rs 100 crore race

Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh-starrer Ram-leela grossed over Rs 50 crore across the weekend. The film earned Rs 16 crore on day one. The collections rose to Rs 17.25 crore on Saturday, further scaling up to Rs 19.5 crore on Sunday.

Riding high on appreciation from critics, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Ram-leela has grossed around Rs 52 crore over the weekend.



The Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh-starrer earned Rs 16 crore on day one. The film went ahead to collect Rs 17.25 crore on Saturday, and Rs 19.5 crore on Sunday.



The movie has also secured decent business overseas. In USA-Canada, it earned $450,000 on Friday and $650,000 on Saturday.



Made on an estimated budget of Rs 72 crore, collected NZ$ 12,834, NZ$ 21,721 on Friday and Saturday respectively in New Zealand.

The ticket window score of the on its opening day in USA-Canada have crossed those of Ranbir Kapoor-starrer ($430,000), Hrithik Roshan-starrer ($311,000), Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara ($240,000) and Salman Khan-starrer ($320,000).
