Raveena Tandon is set to return to theatres on July 1 in the Amitabh Bachchan starrer, Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap. But, the actor is quick to point out that hers is only a guest appearance. However, she has signed another film called Alert, in which she has a full-fledged lead role.

The suspense thriller co-stars Sanjay Dutt, who has earlier worked with her in films like Jung (2000), Aatish: Feel The Fire (1994), Vijeta (1996), LOC — Kargil (2003), Dus (1997), Jeena Marna Tere Sang (1992) and Kshatriya (1993). “With Sanju on the sets, shooting is one big party, all fun. He’s my childhood crush and I’m looking forward to working with him again,” Raveena smiles. “Maanyata (Dutt) is a friend, and now that he has his twins, Shahraan and Iqra, and I have Rasha and Ranbir (Raveena’s daughter and son) there should have plenty of daddy-mummy talk.”

A Southern ad filmmaker will direct the film, which will be shot on location and will also star Anupam Kher. Raveena raves about the brilliant script and says she enjoys working with new talent because they put so many fresh ideas on the table. “I’m looking forward to the film. It should go on the floors in July,” she asserts.

Quiz her on her role and she says she works for a minister in the film and then clamps up: “If I say anything more I would be giving away the mystery.”

“I’m waiting for them to give me a heads up,” says Raveena, who after playing mommy to her two kids for six years and only doing the occasional TV shows — the most recent being Comedy Ka Maha Muqabla — is now ready to return to the movies, but in limited doses. “It has to be something really exciting,” reasons the actor, who was all set to join Ram Gopal Varma’s Department till he changed his script. “I’m not going to join the rat race.”
