Sanju box office week two: Ranbir Kapoor film falls short of ₹300 crore
Sanju box office week two report: The Ranbir Kapoor film has fallen short of ₹300-crore mark and will be facing fresh competition at the box office in the form of Soorma.
It has been two weeks since Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Sanju released and the film has been a superhit. The film has fallen short of ₹300-crore mark by ₹10 crore and is now facing fresh competition at the ticket windows in the form of Diljit Dosanjh, Taapsee Pannu’s Soorma. At present, the Sanjay Dutt biopic has earned a phenomenal ₹290 crore within a span of two weeks, according to a BoxOfficeIndia report.
After smashing records for highest opener, weekend opener, single day earnings and more, Sanju earned ₹5.5 crore on the second Thursday of its release, making a total of ₹290 crore in two weeks. After making it to the ₹100-crore-club in the first weekend itself, Sanju crossed the coveted ₹200-crore-mark in the first week, the film earned ₹89.75 crore in the second week.
According to another BoxOfficeIndia report, Sanju has made fourth highest second week collection ever. Bahubali The Conclusion remains on top with ₹142.52 crore in second week collection, followed closely by Aamir Khan’s Dangal ( ₹111.56 crore). Sanju follows PK that earned ₹96.37 crore.

Ranbir plays the titular role in the film that is a biopic on Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt. Paresh Rawal essays Sanjay’s dad Sunil Dutt’s role in the film while Manisha Koirala plays his mother, Nargis. The film also features Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Vicky Kaushal, Jim Sarbh and Karisma Tanna.
