Vashu’s last co-production, Himmatwala, was a remake, which failed to enthuse the box office. Confirming the details about Humshakal, he says, “I am making Humshakal. It’s a fresh film and not a remake. The film will be directed by Sajid Khan and it will have Saif and Riteish in the lead. The film will go on the floors by August.” “We have not yet finalised the leading lady. Once we finalise the leading lady, we shall make an official announcement,” he adds.

Meanwhile, the filmmaker is also planning some new film for his son Jackky, whose films F.A.L.T.U and Rangrezz bombed at the box office. “We are planning something for Jackky as well, but it’s too early to disclose anything right now. We will make an official announcement,” says Vashu.
