Mallika Sherawat’s Hisss is gearing up for release on October 22. The actor plays a snake who ventures into the city, with vengeance on her mind, in search of her mate who has been captured by an American. Robert Kurtzman, make-up and special effects expert from Hollywood, whose previous works include films like Predators, Vanilla Sky, Spy Kids and Hulk, has created a hissing naagin (snake) and director Jennifer Lynch has given her a burqa (veil) too.

Sherawat made news when she was photographed in a burqa that she had donned to stop her fans from recognising and mobbing her when traveling. As an inside joke, Lynch incorporated the ‘burqa’ into the script for her snake woman to disguise herself.
