Why Deepika Padukone is not Ranbir Kapoor’s lucky charm
Actor Ranbir Kapoor says that he doesn’t wish to take away actor Deepika Padukone’s credit by calling her a lucky charm for him.
Actor Ranbir Kapoor says that he doesn’t wish to take away actor Deepika Padukone’s credit by calling her a lucky charm for him. “I think when you call an actor a lucky charm, you are somehow discrediting his or her achievement. Deepika is a hard worker and whatever she has achieved till date is because of her tremendous effort. I wouldn’t like to call her a lucky charm,” he says about the actor, who has given hits like Happy New Year (2014) and this year’s Piku.
Meanwhile, Ranbir also thinks Deepika is an effortless actor who makes her choice in films perfectly. “She gives her heart and soul to every film and her choice of work is commendable. That’s why all the credit goes to her,” he says.
Talking about their on-screen and off-screen chemistry, the actor, who is co-starring with Deepika in Imtiaz Ali’s Tamasha, says, “We have been in this industry for eight years. We both are trying our best as actors and hope that the audience will love our performance on-screen. Deepika and I are dear friends and I am a big fan of hers. So, we don’t worry about our personal equation or what others think of it.”
