Revealed: The villain in Deepika -Ranbir’s Tamasha
In his upcoming film Tamasha opposite Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor will not fight any villainous character; he will be seen struggling with mathematics instead.
Most Bollywood movies have vicious and muscular villains, who are ready to break into a fight. But, the bad guy in Imtiaz Ali’s Tamasha is not a real person.

While there is a lot of buzz around the film, and the excitement level to watch Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone together on the silver screen is very high, the villain in this movie comes as a complete surprise. It is, in fact, a subject that has played villain in most of our lives — mathematics.

Ranbir’s character in Tamasha is seen struggling with maths. The character doesn’t want to pursue engineering because of his fear of the subject. An insider reveals that Ranbir disliked maths in real life as well. “In Tamasha and in my life, maths stands for all those things that you don’t want to do, but you are forced to do, to fit into the world,” says Ranbir.

Apparently, during the movie’s shoot in Shimla (Himachal Pradesh), the unit instantly split into two camps — maths haters and others. In fact, there were two people on the sets, who bonded over their hatred for maths — Ranbir and Yash Sehgal, the kid who plays the younger version of Ranbir in Imtiaz Ali’s next. Both of them had long discussions about the struggles they faced with the subject in school.
