HT-Nielsen Top 10 list: Arshia Sattar, Sudha Murty new entrants in children’s category

Here’s your weekly digest of the best-selling fiction, non-fiction and children’s books.

Savi Sharma’s This is Not Your Story is a new entrant in the best-selling fiction category, while Amish’s Sita – Warrior of Mithila and Durjoy Datta’s The Boy Who Loved continue to hold on to the top spots, respectively. Amish Tripathi’s bestselling Scion of Ikshvaku (2015) has pushed Arundhati Roy’s The Ministry of Utmost Happiness to the fourth position. Paulo Coelho’s 1993 book The Alchemist is at number five, followed by Chetan Bhagat’s One Indian Girl.

In the nonfiction category, Dr Joseph Murphy’s The Power of Your Subconscious Mind makes a comeback after weeks, taking the top spot. Nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar’s guide to what to expect when you’re expecting, Pregnancy Notes, is at the second spot followed by last week’s number one title Think and Grow Rich by Napolean Hill.

Sadhguru’s Inner Engineering: A Yogi’s Guide to Joy is at number four, followed by Dale Carnegie’s How to Win Friends and Influence People. Sagarika Ghose’s biography of Indira Gandhi, Indira, and the Manorama Yearbook 2017 are the newbies on the list.

Harry Potter continues to reign supreme in the list of best-selling children’s books by international publishers, with Sudha Murty’s Grandma’s Bag of Stories being a new entrant at number four. Rungeen Singh’s The Best of Jataka Tales and Arshia Sattar’s Ramayana for Children are the newcomers in the Indian publishing category.
