A day after Sanjiv Kapoor resigned as chief operating officer (COO) of SpiceJet Ltd on Thursday, he has been appointed by Vistara, run by TATA SIA Airlines Ltd, as its chief strategy and commercial officer.
A day after Sanjiv Kapoor resigned as chief operating officer (COO) of SpiceJet Ltd on Thursday, he has been appointed by Vistara, run by TATA SIA Airlines Ltd, as its chief strategy and commercial officer.
He will be assuming the new role in TATA SIA Airlines in February 2016.
Kapoor will be succeeding Giam Ming Toh, chief commercial officer, Vistara. Giam Ming will return to Singapore Airlines on completion of his deputation with Vistara.
Kapoor has over 19 years of experience in the airline industry, having worked with airlines in Asia, Europe, and the US in leadership and advisory positions. A graduate from Dartmouth College, US and with a MBA from Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Kapoor joined SpiceJet in 2013 as COO.
