Called Life in A Day, it will involve Academy Award-winning Hollywood filmmakers Ridley Scott and Kevin MacDonald selecting videos to create a full-length film, capturing how people around the globe lived this Saturday. Apart from being uploaded on You Tube, the film will be shown at the Sundance Film Festival next January. If your video is part of the final cut, you’ll be credited as co-director, and will be flown to Utah to attend the festival.
“This is a unique experiment in social filmmaking... A time capsule that will tell generations what it was like to be alive on July 24, 2010,” writes director MacDonald on the You Tube site’s Life in a Day channel. You have until July 31 to upload the videos, but only today to shoot it.
