New Lucknow centre of TCS to employ 1,500

Tata Consultancy Services, the country’s largest software exporter, plans to almost triple its headcount at the newly inaugurated Lucknow centre in the next two years, the company’s chief executive officer and managing director S Ramadorai told reporters during the inauguration of the new centre in the UP state capital, reports Ruchi Hajela.

Tata Consultancy Services, the country’s largest software exporter, plans to almost triple its headcount at the newly inaugurated Lucknow centre in the next two years, the company’s chief executive officer and managing director S Ramadorai told reporters on Monday during the inauguration of the new centre in the UP state capital.

The facility at present employs 550 people and expects to employ 1500 workers over the next two years.

“Lucknow is an integral part of the TCS’ strategy to invest in Tier II cities and spread the IT revolution in the country. Lucknow has the potential to be a leader among the emerging IT destinations in India and it is this belief that has driven our strategy in this area,” Ramadorai said in a statement.
