The world's largest mobile phone maker, Nokia Oyj, overtook arch-rival Motorola Inc in sales in key market China in June, JP Morgan said.

Nokia, fighting for first place in the world's largest mobile phone market by users, grabbed 15.5 per cent of China's market in June, followed by Motorola's 14.1 per cent, the investment bank said in an August research report.
"Overall, the largest market share winner in June was Samsung followed by Sony Ericsson. In terms of losers, Motorola's share slipped 1.2 per cent (from the previous month)," analyst Johnny Chan wrote in the report.
The firms were not immediately available for comment.
