Petrol gets costlier by Rs 3.07 per litre, diesel dearer by Rs 1.90
Petrol prices were hiked by Rs 3.07 per litre on Wednesday while the diesel prices went up by Rs 1.90 per litre. With the new hike and including state levies, the price of petrol in Delhi will cost around Rs. 59.68 per litre, while a litre of diesel will now cost Rs 48.33.

Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. has decided to effect the following price changes from midnight of 16th and 17th March 2016.
The hike comes in due to the current level of international product prices of petrol and diesel and rupee-dollar exchange rate. The impact of the hike is being passed on to the consumers.
The movement of prices in the international oil market and rupee-dollar exchange rate shall continue to be monitored closely and developing trends of the market will be reflected in future price changes.
