Reliance energy clocks net profit of Rs 11.7 bn
Reliance Energy has posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 11.78 bn for 2007-08, up 41.2% over over Rs 8.34 bn for the previous year.

Anil Ambani's Reliance Energy has posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 11.78 billion ($295 million) for 2007-08, up 41.2 per cent over over Rs 8.34 billion ($190 million) for the previous year.
Total Income of the company rose 22.54 per cent from Rs 77.7 billion to Rs 97.6 billion for the year ended March 31, 2008, as per the audited results released on Monday.
The company's board of directors has recommended a dividend of Rs 6.30 per share for its shareholders.
The company's shares were up 2.19 per cent at Rs 1,358.90 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) after the results were announced.
