Tesla India has introduced a ₹3 lakh exchange bonus on the Model Y, alongside EMI offers and a complimentary home charger.
Tesla India has launched the Tesla EV Switch and Save Program, offering a flat exchange incentive of ₹3 lakh to owners of petrol and diesel cars who trade in their vehicles for a Tesla Model Y. The company says the bonus is paid on top of the traded car’s valuation and applies only to selected models and specifications. Deliveries must be completed before 31 March 2026 to qualify.

EMI plan and claimed running-cost savings
Tesla is also advertising an EMI plan for the Model Y: an EMI of ₹49,000 with a down payment of ₹6,00,000. The company describes this EMI as indicative and says final terms are subject to the financier's approval.

According to Tesla, a Model Y owner can save about ₹20,000 per month on fuel and routine maintenance compared with petrol and diesel cars, based on 1,500 km of average monthly use. Using that estimate, Tesla says the effective monthly cost would be about ₹29,000. The company adds that actual savings will vary with local electricity tariffs, driving habits and maintenance requirements.

Tesla is including a complimentary home charger with the Model Y. The company states that charging with this unit can cut running costs to “as low as ₹1 per km.” Installation charges are not included in the complimentary offer; Tesla says installation will be quoted separately and will depend on site-specific requirements. Tesla lists the Model Y home charger price in the range of ₹41,000–50,000.
