40 lakh bribery case- CBI summons Inspectors, remand extended

The duty magistrate today extended remand by one day to the accused who were arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday for allegedly taking bribes of Rs 40 lakh from the relative of a SAS Nagar petrol pump owner.

The duty magistrate today extended remand by one day to the accused who were arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday for allegedly taking bribes of Rs 40 lakh from the relative of a SAS Nagar petrol pump owner.

The arrested included a deputy superintendent of police (DSP) of the economic offences wing (EOW) RC Meena and a sub-inspector Surinder Bhardwaj of the Chandigarh Police.
Also owner of KLG Hotel, Sector 43, Aman Grover and managing director of Berkely Retails Limited Sanjay Dahuja.

The CBI also summoned Inspector Charanjit Singh and Inspector Jaswinder Singh for investigation.

The CBI also arrested two businessmen for aiding the accused.

The duty magistrate today extended remand for one day to the accused who were arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday for allegedly taking bribes of Rs 40 lakh in a case for not arresting the accused in a forgery case.
The CBI also summoned Inspector Charanjit Singh and Inspector Jaswinder Singh for confronting the accused as a matter of investigation as claimed by CBI in the court.
