The increased DA would be in effect from July 1, 2013, which would further enhance the DA to 80 per cent from present 72 per cent of the basic pay, a spokesman here stated.

The enhanced DA would be paid along with the pay from October 1, 2013 and the remaining enhanced DA from July 2013 to September 2013 would be paid in cash to the employees/pensioners. The decision about the pending payment of the enhanced DA from January 1, 2013 to June 30, 2013 would be taken later, the spokesman said.
