Talking to mediapersons at Rupnagar, Panjoli said Bhattal remained embroiled into several scams and scandals. “Bhattal had embezzled 20 lakh from the chief minister’s relief fund when she was the CM and underwent a long court trial for that scandal,” he alleged.

He also alleged Bhattal was in league with and patronised the militants and also took share from the money extorted by the latter.

“It was the time when her brother was kidnapped by the militants in 1990s and she got him freed by promising them a safe shelter,” alleged Panjoli.

He also lashed out at Bhattal for levelling allegations and using un-parliamentary language against SAD candidate from Anandpur Sahib, Prem Singh Chandumajra, saying she should look into herself before levelling allegation on others.”

“Those who live in houses of glass should not throw stones on others,” he said.

It may be mentioned that during a recent Congress rally at Rupnagar, Bhattal had termed Chandumajra as ‘Chandu Daku’ and ‘Chandu Chor’.
