An unidentified pedestrian attacked a Sector-43 resident and took away her bag containing cash and mobile phone here on Friday.
Safina, a resident of Sector 43, alleged that an unidentified boy snatched her purse containing cash of Rs 5000, three ATM cards, driving license, registration certificate and an iPhone from near the Sector17-18 light point and ran away.
A case of assault or criminal force in attempt to commit theft of property carried by a person and punishment for theft has been registered under Sections 356 and 379 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at the Sector-17 police station.
