City golfer Tavleen secures 92.4 %
City based golfer Tavleen Batra, a student of Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector 27, scored 92.4% in arts stream. She is leading amateur golfer of the town with spate of accomplishment to her credit. For instance, she won gold medal in 10th Chandigarh Amateur Golf Championship besides securing first position in girls’ category in first CGA junior tournament at Panchkula Golf Club.
City based golfer Tavleen Batra, a student of Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector 27, scored 92.4% in arts stream. She is leading amateur golfer of the town with spate of accomplishment to her credit. For instance, she won gold medal in 10th Chandigarh Amateur Golf Championship besides securing first position in girls’ category in first CGA junior tournament at Panchkula Golf Club.
During the middle of her exam, she even went to China to represent India in the Faldo Series Asia Grand Final at Mission Hills golf course. “I could manage to participate in the tournament as I had a good break between the exams,” said 18-year-old Tavleen adding that golf would remain her only priority.
“There are a lot of career opportunities outside Chandigarh, but I will stay here since my coaches are based in the city”, she said. She will pursue graduation in Arts with psychology as main subject.
