Ram Lal Thakur, chairman of the 20 point programme, said on Friday the state Congress government had given relief to every section of society during its present tenure.
He said the problems being faced by the poor had been solved by the state government by creating infrastructure in the field of education, horticulture and agriculture. He added that under the dynamic leadership of chief minister Virbhadra Singh, all round development had taken place in the state. Thakur said the government had left no stone unturned to fulfill the poll promises mentioned in the manifesto.
Thakur said the government had been providing cheap ration to the ration card holders and the chief minister had made provision of Rs 320 crore to strengthen the procedure to provide cheap ration. He claimed the state had also strengthened the social sector. Thakur said the state government was serious about the expansion of rail network in the state.
The chairman said the Congress had become stronger after the Modi wave swept the poll in the state. He said Virbhadra Singh had urged Modi to give a green signal for the execution of the Bhanu palli-Leh rail project, adding that muck dumping had emerged as a great problem throughout the state. He said muck should be dumped at the sites already identified for the purpose.
