In a press release, Inderjit Singh, state secretary, CPI (M) recalled the infamous Dulina episode near Jhajjar which had led to riots. He also remembered the 2013 incident in which the government vehicles transporting cows to Gaushalas in Uttar Pradesh had led to violence.
"The party demands a thorough probe into sequence of events leading to spread of tension in the region and identify the responsible forces and factors behind these serious incidents," he added.
Cautioning people, the party said people with vested interests might evoke emotive feelings for electoral gains.
