District Red Cross Society organises free medical camp for handicapped children

The district Red Cross Society disbursed medical equipments at a camp set up for the free medical checkup of handicapped children at Dev Sadan here on Sunday.

150 handicapped children were examined for treatment during the camp and 253 medical equipments were disbursed to them. Assistant commissioner of Kullu, Kumud Singh, said 23 wheel chairs, 55 spectacles, 70 sticks, 15 crutches, 35 ear machines and other medical equipments were provided to the children during the camp.

She said the district Red Cross society organised such events on a regular basis to help the needy and the process would continue in the future.

Chief medical officer of Kullu, Baldev Thakur; district welfare officer of Kullu, Pratap Chand Negi and other officers were also present on the occasion.
