Former Apna Ghar inmate tries to commit suicide; survives

An alleged victim of sexual harassment at Apna Ghar - the infamous shelter home in Rohtak - allegedly attempted to commit suicide at the Nari Niketan here.
The 17-year-old girl had tried to cut her wrist and the local police have booked her for an attempt to commit suicide.
Deputy commissioner Renu S Phulia told reporters that the inmate had tried to commit suicide on the intervening night of July 22 and 23 and was immediately rushed to the hospital. The victim, who hails from Kolkata, is said to be in a stable condition.
