Four candidates from the tricity have made it to the 'top 100' list of the Indian Administrative Services (IAS) exam, result of which was declared on Friday.

Topping the chart is Dr Ankita Chakravarty, a resident of Sector 10, Panchkula, and daughter of a doctor couple, who has ranked 17th. It was her first attempt.

Next in the ranking list at number 22 is Harpreet Singh Sudan, who cracked the exam in his third attempt. Harpreet is a law graduate from University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS), Panjab University, and he took no coaching to crack the IAS. His father Jaspal Singh Maanipur is a lawyer at the Punjab and Haryana high court.

From tricity others who have made it to the 'top 100' list are Parth Gupta (59th rank) and Kriti Garg (80th rank). Parth is son of SS Prasad, principal secretary (higher education) Haryana government, while Kriti, who, too, cleared the exam in her first attempt, is younger sister of Chandigarh SDM Tanvi Garg. Kriti had cleared the Indian Economic Services Exam in 2011 and was under training.
