Habitual thief gets 2-year jail

The court has also imposed a fine of Rs 2,000 on convict Nizamuddin, 32, a resident of Milk Colony,Dhanas.The police said three cases of motorcycle theft and one chain-snatching case were registered against Nizamuddin.He was convicted and awarded seven-year jail for culpable homicide not amounting to murder.

According to information,Nizamuddin was arrested on the complaint of Satpal Singh, a resident of SAS Nagar, on April 25 this year for theft of a motorcycle and was on bail.

The police records revealed that there were total 11 cases in which Nizamuddin was named as accused. He had already been convicted in seven cases, the police added.
