Prohibitory orders were imposed in Sirsa, where the headquarter of the Dera is located, Faridabad, Jind, Kaithal, Kurukshetra, Karnal, Ambala and Yamunanagar, an official spokesman said.

"Prohibitory orders under Section 144 of the CrPC have been imposed as a precautionary measure so that anti-social elements do not disturb peace and tranquility in the state," an official spokesman said.

The spokesman said the situation was fully under control and asked people to maintain peace and not believe in rumours of any kind.
