"We have lodged a strong protest over the firing on Indian forward post and ceasefire violation in Poonch with Pakistan counterparts through hot-line today", a senior army officer said.

The BSF troops had also lodged similar protest for violations in Kote Kuba Border out post.

The cross border firing on Monday left two BSF jawans critically injured.

Pak Rangers have, however, denied involvement in firing on Indian posts.
