Jewellery, Rs 90k stolen from Sec 8

Three burglary incidents were registered on Sunday. Rajni Chugh of Sector 8-B reported that someone had stolen two diamond bangles, two gold chains and Rs 90,000 from her house. Rajni stays with her mother in the house, and the police suspected the theft to be the work of servants.

Three burglary incidents were registered on Sunday. Rajni Chugh of Sector 8-B reported that someone had stolen two diamond bangles, two gold chains and `90,000 from her house. Rajni stays with her mother in the house, and the police suspected the theft to be the work of servants.


The police said, “Preliminary investigation reveal no locks of any almirah or any room were broken in the house. The servants are being questioned, but so far no headway in the case has been made. Rajni was not even aware when the theft took place and she noticed the jewellery missing on Sunday.”

In another incident, Amrik Singh of Sector 29-A reported that he had gone out of station with his family and when he returned on Sunday he found two gold rings, a pair of silver anklet, two wrist watches and Rs 7,000 missing.

Vinod of Sector 41-A reported that his purse containing identity card, `12,000 cash and a mobile phone, and another purse containing `5,300 were stolen. Cases were registered in all thefts.
