Lawyer summoned as accused in rape charges
Judicial magistrate Jaswinder Singh has summoned city-based lawyer Arvind Thakur as accused on the complaint of a 23-year-old of accusing him of rape and criminal intimidation.

Judicial magistrate Jaswinder Singh has summoned city-based lawyer Arvind Thakur as accused on the complaint of a 23-year-old of accusing him of rape and criminal intimidation.
Acting on the complaint of the woman, who is a resident of Nariangarh, the court directed Thakur to appear before the court on December 16.
"Thakur had allured the victim and raped her. After police failed to take action on her complaint, she moved the court. The court, taking cognizance, had summoned him as accused,"said advocate AS Chahal, counsel of the victim.
Terming the allegations as false and frivolous, Arvind Thakur said, "The woman has filed a false complaint against me to tarnishing my image and blackmail me."
